Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Resorts is planning to open a luxury hotel in Syon Park, West London, in November 2010.

London Syon Park will be the located in the 200-acre, Grade I-listed Syon Park, the London home of the Duke of Northumberland. Hotel guests can enjoy exclusive year-round access to the tranquil Syon House gardens.

Boasting 137 guestrooms – signed by interior designer Camillin Denny – and seven luxury suites, a butterfly house in the lobby, and an ice-cream parlour, London Syon Park promises to be a unique and quality hotel, offering the same exceptional service as its sister hotel, the legendary Waldorf Astoria in New York.

Andreas Panayiotou, Chairman of The Ability Group, said: “We’re creating a true destination hotel which benefits from the proximity of London and the tranquillity of the countryside, where guests can come to relax and socialise in an environment of playful luxury.”

Construction of the hotel will include the restoration of Syon Park’s historic features, designed by landscape architect Lancelot “Capability” Brown, and of Syon House itself.
