A cure for jet lag?

A cure for jet lag?

The Aman Spa at the Connaught has developed a range of treatments with the traveller in mind – good news for us, then.

Each treatment aims to alleviate the jet lag caused by crossing time zones, and the spa menu includes both pre- and post-travel solutions: the 30-minute aman “to-go” massage is designed to loosen joints before travel and the jet lag reviver (45 minutes) is intended to combat weariness upon return.

For long-haul travellers, the two-and-a-half-hour jet lag recovery is recommended to help the body adjust quickly to the GMT time zone by boosting circulation and reducing fatigue. After a scented foot bath, this is achieved by eliminating fluid retention with body brushing; applying a mask to rid the body of toxins; a reviving facial; and a full-body massage to cure any aches and pains caused by uncomfortable airplane seats.

Guests can also unwind with herbal tea and calming music before the treatment or make use of the spa’s facilities, which include a 60-square metre pool, steam room and fitness studio. To really make the most of the experience, book a room at the hotel and simply relax.
