Designer tea at The Dorchester

Fashion designer Amanda Wakeley will hold her next show during a stylish afternoon tea at The Dorchester Collection’s iconic flagship hotel, The Dorchester.

The Promenade – often referred to as the ‘Living Room of Mayfair’ will be transformed into a catwalk with Wakeley’s Spring / Summer 2011 Collection on view. This collection, usually shown on the catwalk to press and fashion’s elite only, takes inspiration from tribeswomen – with earthy neutrals, cobalt blue and vibrant coral – translated into womanly evening and daywear.

In keeping with The Dorchester’s customs, guests can tuck into delicious savoury finger sandwiches, homemade scones and a selection of French pastries, washed down with a glass of Champagne.

Fashion Week Tea guests will also have access to Wakeley’s exclusive personal styling service and she will on be hand to answer personal shopping queries. Bookings will also include a goody bag with gifts from contributing luxury brands and a 10% discount on Amanda Wakeley purchases made between 3rd February and 31st March 2011, at the Amanda Wakeley flagship store on Fulham Road.

The Amanda Wakeley Fashion Tea will take place at The Dorchester on Wednesday 2nd February. Afternoon tea will be served in The Promenade at The Dorchester at two sittings, 2.15pm and 4.45pm, and is priced at ?48.00 per adult including a glass of champagne (prices are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of service charge at 12.5%).
