It’s a manly affair at Sanctum Soho

If you thought that afternoon tea was reserved for ladies who lunch, then think again. From October, a gentlemen’s afternoon tea service will be available at the Sanctum Soho hotel in London.

The super-chic townhouse hotel – a member of Design Hotels – is offering guests a three-course selection of dishes, which include beef and horseradish, served with mini Yorkshire puddings, a round of mini burgers, rabbit and pancetta pies and char-grilled steaks. For dessert, there is an indulgent – yet masculine – double-baked chocolate fudge cake, garnished with whiskey ice-cream.

But if the food isn’t quite manly enough, then sampling selection of Jack Daniel’s whiskey – which comes with a cigar on the side – is surely the ticket.

Prices start from ?50. Available seven days a week from 2-6pm, booking is essential. For more information see
