Enjoy the Silencio in Miami

In Paris, the exclusive members’ club Silencio had near-legendary status even before it opened in October 2011. It’s the brainchild of David Lynch – he designed everything, even the furniture; and it hosts creative gatherings, performances, screenings and happenings between some of the world’s leading artists.

The club has been busy this year, reaching out beyond the French capital to Cannes, for a pop-up during the film festival in the summer, and to London, where it co-hosted the Serpentine Gallery’s Future Contemporaries Party 2012, for the gallery’s most valued collectors and philanthropists.

And this season Silencio is crossing the Pond to the USA for Art Basel Miami Beach. It is popping up for just four nights this December within select nightclub FDR in the Delano South Beach, sister hotel to the Hot-Listed Mondrian, and just as sexy with its zingy interiors: statement furniture, padded leather walls, all-white ocean-view suites and sunloungers around the palm-tree-flanked pool.

Silencio will bring its brand of Gallic sophistication to the glam South Beach address. It will curate an exciting programme of events celebrating music, film, art and fashion, as well as a special cocktail menu, and will give FDR’s interior a Parisian twist with lighting and a temporary overhaul of the decor.

With Art Basel Miami Beach now one of the biggest, buzziest art events in the world – where the parties make fashion week look like a school fete – we are expecting Silencio to be the hottest ticket in town. Start making friends now.

Silencio Miami (silencio-club.com) runs Tuesday 4 – Saturday 8 December 2012; opens nightly, 11pm-6am.
