Masterclass weekender

The first-ever Traveller Masterclass was held this weekend, when budding travel writers and photographers attended a dynamic new course delivered by key Conde Nast Traveller staff, high-profile contributors and experts from Nikon cameras.

Tutors and speakers for the weekend included Editor Melinda Stevens (pictured above), author and writer Giles Foden, photographer Martin Morrell, Publisher Simon Leadsford, Director of Photography Caroline Metcalfe, Deputy Editor Sarah Spankie, Executive Editor Tony Cross, and Conde Nast’s Managing Director, Nicholas Coleridge.

Around 30 students took part in the training event which was held at various venues, including Nikon’s London Centre of Excellence, Vogue House in London’s Mayfair (the publishing home of Conde Nast Traveller), and Claridge’s Hotel.

Attendee Sue Fontannaz said afterwards: ‘I was amazed at the generosity of the entire team to share insights into their work, and their approachability at the event.’
