Classical music in Val d’Isere

Classical music lovers should head to the exclusive ski resort of Val d’Isere in the New Year for the Classicaval music festival which runs from 18-20 January and from 15-17 March.

Internationally acclaimed classical artists will be performing a series of concerts in the Alpine village of Val d’Isere at the beautiful baroque church of Saint Bernard de Menthon.

The festival will close in March when Michel Lethiec, one of the world’s greatest clarinettists, will perform as guest of honour. Frederic Lagarde, considered to be one of the most talented French pianists, will oversee the opus as artistic director.

From 15- 22 January 2011, a seven-night stay in a studio for four people includes a six-day Espace Killy ski pass and entry to the pool at the new Oxygen Sports Centre is priced from ?250 per person, based on four people sharing.
