Free admission to New Yorks best museums

Will you be in New York tomorrow? If so, you must visit the city’s one-day Museum Mile Festival, during which nine of its finest museums will offer free admission.

The celebration will also see car traffic diverted from the 23-block stretch of Fifth Avenue that runs from the Metropolitan Museum of Art at 82nd Street to El Museo del Barrio on 105th Street, so visitors – tourists and locals alike – can enjoy the museums as well as a mile-long street party complete with live music and performances. Stop off at the other participating museums on the way, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum at 89th Street, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum at 91st Street and the Museum of the City of New York at 103rd Street.

The festival runs from 6pm-9pm tomorrow, 8 June. Find out more at
