airBaltic launches Gatwick-Vilnius flights

Latvia’s national airline, airBaltic, is reintroducing direct flights from London Gatwick to the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius on 4 March.

It’s not the first time the airline operates the route; the reopening comes courtesy of the tax policy at Vilnius Airport, which is making the airport more attractive according to airBaltic’s chief commercial officer Tero Taskila.

The twice-weekly flights will be operated on Thursdays and Saturdays onboard a Boeing 737 aircraft. The beautiful city of Vilnius is just under a three-hour flight away from Gatwick, and the perfect destination for a spring and summer weekend break with lovely hotels, great restaurants and a lively cultural scene. One-way ticket prices start at just €25.
