A new view of Australia

A new view of Australia

Flinders Ranges, north of Adelaide, is the largest mountain range in all of Australia, and is best explored from the skies. Perhaps not surprising then that Outback Ballooning has just launched new hot air balloon experiences so that guests at Rawnsley Park Station can get the best views.

The hot air balloon flights leave daily before sunrise and gently float across the outback, giving fliers time to take in the scenery and native wildlife below as the sun comes up.

In the heart of the range, Rawnsley Park Station offers a range of accommodation but we recommend the luxury eco-villas with retractable ceileings, perfect for star gazing. From the station, travellers can also explore the landscape on four-wheel-drive tours, mountain bike treks and bush walking trails.

Hot air balloon rides start from $350 per person for adults and $280 for children aged 6-16, including a light breakfast, accompanied by sparkling Australian wine to follow for the adults. To book visit www.rawnsleypark.com.au
