Virgin unveils its new HIP hotels

Photographed exclusively by Herbert Ypma, the brand new Virgin Holidays + HIP Hotels brochure contains some of the most spectacular hotels in the world.

Africa, the Caribbean and the Far East appear as the hottest destinations for 2011. Since the Royal Engagement, African safaris have risen in popularity, and to cater for this, three new Kenyan Safari camps, Elsa’s Kopje, Joy’s and Il Moran, have been added to the portfolio. All three look stunning, but Elsa’s Kopje within the Meru National Park is the place for travellers wanting to spot wild rhino.

Virgin also has 12 new additions to its Far East retreats, including the new carbon-neutral Soneva Kiri by Six Senses in Thailand and The Upper House in Hong Kong. Meanwhile A-List star-seekers should take a look at One & Only Palmilla in Mexico.

Private island resorts fare well, with new addition Denis Island in the Seychelles described as “more of a sanctuary than a hotel” with an emphasis on experience – guests can fish for their own supper before having it prepared in their own waterfront cottage.

To tempt you to book early, customers booking a VHip holiday throughout January will be thanked with a complimentary overnight stay at The Bermondsey Square Hotel or One Aldwych in London.
