The great French wine invasion

Fine art galleries, sumptuous dinners, fantastic shopping and fields and fields of lush green vineyards – it’s no wonder that Bordeaux is such a popular summer holiday destination. Now, travellers don’t even need to leave the country to get a real taste of the French city, as for the first time ever, the wine makers of Bordeaux are coming to London.

For one night only, wine-lovers can taste the best the region has to offer, as leading merchants Bibendum host the largest ever Bordeaux wine-tasting event at the legendary Lords Cricket Ground.

Over 85 Chateaux will showcase hundreds of top wines on 21 April 2010. Not only will guests have the rare opportunity to sample them all before anyone else, but they will also have the chance to get face to face with the wine-makers themselves.

The wine industry has already predicted that 2009 Bordeaux would be one of the best vintage years in history. To see if they’re right before anyone else, book a ticket from Bibendum on 020 7449 4120. Prices start from ?30 for one and ?50 for two for the four-hour event, which will run from 4pm to 8pm.
