Cruise Munich in style with Design Hotels

There could be no better way to see the sights and sounds of Munich than in a stylish classic muscle car pre-programmed to take you to the best restaurants, shops and attractions in the city. That’s why luxury group Design Hotels has launched its brand-new BMW road trip experience: a specially-devised series of self-drive day tours that allows you to explore numerous regional highlights at your own leisurely pace.

There are 11 Design Hotels in Germany and Austria participating in the new program, including hotels in Vienna, Berlin and Frankfurt. In Munich, the Louis Hotel has created a selection of scenic routes to lead you around the city and out into the surrounding suburbs. Once you have chosen a tour, the route is downloaded in your BMW’s satellite navigation system, and you’re ready to take to the roads.

The first stop is the newly-opened Museum Brandhorst, with its excellent collection of modern art. Next, it’s off to the BMW Welt event; an impressive exhibition about the making and history of the famous German car. Then, travel to Lake Starnberge to taste the best Bavarian cuisine and to sample the area’s more regional culture.

Other trips include visits to fine wineries, cheese-making specialists and the best new restaurants as they open. For more information and to book a road trip, visit
