Ritz-Carlton Highlands opens tomorrow in Northstar-at-Tahoe

The Ritz-Carlton Highlands at Lake Tahoe, which opens tomorrow, will bring intimate five-star luxury to the Californian ski resort of Northstar-at-Tahoe.

With 170 guest rooms and 48 private residences, the hotel is the first resort to be built in the Lake Tahoe area for a long time and promises to put it back in the spotlight for stylish skiers. Located mid-mountain, Ritz-Carlton Highlands will have ski-in, ski-out access and ski valet services in winter. The hotel also houses Manzanita, a restaurant overseen by renowned San Francisco-based chef Traci Des Jardins, plus a 17,000 square foot spa and two outdoor swimming pools for post-skiing pampering. Guests also have access to golf courses (Old Greenwood and Coyote Moon), and the hotel is open all year. Rooms start at US$249 per night.
