Sophisticatedly Scottish: Blythswood Square opens its spa

The Spa at Blythswood Square has announced that it will be opening in September this year.

Situated within the five-star Blysthwood Square Hotel – featured in the Hot List 2010 – the spa will be both sophisticated and glamorous, reflecting the feel of the hotel.

A number of exclusive treatments will be on offer, including the Blythswood Thermal Experience – a seven stage journey of alternating temperature experiences; a Scottish Seaweed Bath using seaweed sourced direct from the Hebrides; a Dark Pool; and cleansing treatments using Rhassoul – a mineral-rich clay from Morocco.

The Scottish treatments were designed for use with organic skincare brand Ila. A full range of face, body, holistic treatments and signature treatments will also be available, using products by French brand Anne Semonin.

Managing Director, Hans Rissmann says: “The Spa at Blythswood Square will be very much a city spa with a real cutting edge feel to it, blending the best spa therapies with fabulous facilities. We will be sophisticatedly Scottish with a touch of contemporary elegance that Glasgow has become famous for.”
