Singapore is blooming

The extraordinary Gardens by the Bay consist of more than 100 hectares of newly cultivated greenery on reclaimed land in downtown Singapore. The most striking feature is the 18 ‘supertrees’ – each between 25 and 50 metres tall – with huge concrete trunks on which more than 200 species of tropical flowering climbers, ferns and orchids are planted, and an aerial walkway for vertiginous views of the gardens.
