Over 1,400 tourists have been airlifted to safety in Peru after severe floods left them stranded near Machu Picchu.

BA strike dates announced

Over 12,000 British Airways cabin crew members are expected to walk out this month when they stage the first strike in the company for over 13 years.

Trade union Unite, which represents a majority of BA’s cabin crew, has announced that the three-day strike will begin on 20 March, followed by a four-day strike starting from the 24 March. (more…)
