Museums across the UK and Europe are preparing a weekend of late-night events as part of this year’s Museums at Night 2011.

Tying in with the European event La Nuit des Musees, hundreds of museums and galleries across the country will be opening their doors at night for gallery gigs, twilight screenings, midnight murder mysteries, all-night sleepovers, torch-lit tours or simply to offer the chance to experience some of the UK’s iconic and historic venues in a new light.
